Yes and Amen!

YES and AMEN are two of my favorite words! Who knew such small words could contain such HUGE meaning!

2 Corinthians 1:20 in the NLT Bible says,

“For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.”

This verse is what immediately came to mind when I first saw the new “Yes & Amen!” kit from Illustrated Faith.

Just a couple of weeks ago I wrote a post sharing my Free Printable Prayer Journal Template that I created, based on the book, FERVANT, by Priscilla Shirer. In it she provides the following framework for writing our prayers, using an acronym for PRAY:

P stands for Praise.

R is for Repentance.

A is for Asking.

Y stands for YES! (And she quotes 2 Corinthians 1:20″For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!”)

And just a couple of months ago I wrote a post titled, The Light is Green – a Bible Journaling Tutorial for Dreamers. It is a Bible journaling tutorial on … can you guess what Scripture? Yes, 2 Corinthians 1:20.

I have been taught that when you are getting the same message, repeated over and over, and from several different sources, that means God is really trying to get your attention, or confirm something He has already told you. So my ears are perked up and listening intently to what God may be trying to say to me.
