I appreciate all my readers and love seeing what you find most helpful each year. Here are my top 10 blog posts from 2016, based on number of pageviews they have received. I also add a short summary of the post and/or comment about why I think the post was so popular. In the comments you can let me know what you would like to see from me in 2017.
1 – Free Christian Coloring Pages for Adults – Roundup
This was by far my most popular page. I think it was for several reasons, the first being everyone likes free stuff, right? The second reason is because this post went viral on Pinterest. I believe one of the reasons it went viral is because it offered free stuff. But the other reason I believe this post did so well is because, well, a lot of people are interested in Christian coloring pages for adults. That is good to know since I just released my first Christian coloring book for adults in November of 2016.
2 – War Room Prayer Journal Template – Free Printable
The popularity of this post kind of surprised me. I posted a free printable template that I had created for an in-person Bible study I helped lead last summer because the template was so popular with the ladies in the Bible study. It is now on page 1 of Google for the search term, “war room prayer journal”. I am really encouraged that so many women are so interested in prayer.
3 – Bringing Your War Room Out of the Closet
This one is related to the previous post, so it is not surprising that is was also one of my most popular posts. I loved the movie, War Room, which inspired so many of us to create our own war room (prayer room.) However, I live in an RV, so turning my one tiny closet into a prayer room is not realistic. In this post I share what I do instead and give many ideas of how you can still have your own war room, even if you don’t have a lot of space.
4 – Sneak Peek inside My NEW Scripture Coloring Book for Adults – coming soon!
As I already mentioned, last year I released my first Scripture coloring book for adults – both a printable version and a printed version. It was harder than I expected and took longer than I expected, but in the end I am very pleased with how it turned out. And I am so grateful to all the wonderful women who served on my launch team. I could not have done it without them. Many of the pages displayed on this post were colored by members of my launch team.
5 – Eight Easy Bible Journaling Tips for Women with Limited Time, Space, Talent or Resources
In this post I address almost every obstacle or excuse that women have for not getting started with Bible Journaling. Too often we try to make things more difficult than they really are or need to be. That’s why I wanted to offer these practical tips to getting started. Because anything that can help you fall in love with The Word of God is worth looking into.
6 – My 5 Favorite Coloring Supplies for Adults
In answer to all the questions I get about what are the best supplies to use for coloring in adult coloring books, I wrote this post on my 5 favorite supplies. And you will be glad to know that my favorite tools are not the most expensive ones.
7 – Bible Verse Printables – Top 10 Ways to Use them to Hide God’s Word in Your Heart
Since I sell Bible Verse Printables in my Etsy shop, I hear lots of questions about how to actually use these printables. This posts lists just a few of the ways I like to use them. I’m sure there are other ways to use them, but my main focus is not on styling a room or decorating for a party, but on hiding God’s Word in your heart. In case you haven’t noticed, I’m kinda obsessed with The Word of God because Jesus IS The Word of God (see John 1:1-14) so the better I know The Word the better I know Jesus.
8 – Are You Making This Bible Study Mistake?
The mistake I am referring to in this post is not realizing that Jesus IS The Word of God and approaching the Bible with that truth in mind. I go into greater detail in the post, and share pics of my first Bible journaling page, which was on John 1:1-14.
9 – 20 Beautiful Free Mother’s Day Printables
Roundup posts are really popular on Pinterest and this one was no exception. I’m grateful for all the amazing creatives who so generously share their beautiful work with the world.
10 – 15 Ways to Hide God’s Word in Your Heart Without Adding More Time to Your Busy Schedule
This post was actually 11th, according to page views. But the 10th place post was also about my “Delight in The Word of God” Scripture coloring book for adults, so I skipped it, since I already had one post on it in the top 10.
This post takes away any excuse you may come up with for not memorizing Scripture or more accurately, hiding it in your heart. This post has gotten the 2nd highest number of comments on it, so I think that speaks a lot about its popularity as well.
I want to continue to post things that are of interest to you, my readers. Please comment below and tell me what you would like me to blog about in 2017.
