Every month I present a Monthly Mission. It includes an art/creativity prompt as well as a Faith Focus to help you be intentional with your spiritual and creative growth.
I go into greater detail about this month’s mission in this video:
The Faith Focus will include things like Bible reading plans, Bible study methods, prayer strategies, sign language worship and more.
The art/creativity prompts may focus on a specific skill, (like watercolor or hand lettering,) on a principle of design, (like dominance or color theory,) or on a specific theme (like fruit) or a combination of any of the above.
The Monthly Mission for December is…
Giving Out of Overflow
Faith Focus: Receive God’s love for you.
We can only give what we have. So before you think about what you will give others this Christmas, make time to get filled up (to overflowing) with God’s love for you.
Bible Reading Plan: Read Song of Songs (Some Bible translations call it the Song of Solomon)
(I especially love reading this book of the Bible in The Passion Translation)
It is a story of how Jesus beautifies his last-day bride – by loving her. You are the Shulamite. Jesus is the bridegroom. As you read Song of Songs, picture Jesus singing the words of this song directly to you.
Faith Focus Resources:
(You don’t need to use them all. Just pick one or two that look good to you.)

Art/Creativity Prompt #1:
Learn one or more Christmas carols in sign language and sing/sign it for Jesus.
My mom and sisters and I learned how to sign many Christmas songs when I was growing up and it is some of my fondest memories.
(Christmas carol sign language video tutorials are coming soon to the Fruitful Creativity Studio.)
Art/Creativity Prompt #2:
Create fun, cute, beautiful, thoughtful and/or meaningful gifts for others.
Only attempt this AFTER you have soaked in God’s love, so you can create a give from a heart overflowing with love, gratefulness, and generosity.Â

Use these pretty printables to make lovely wall art gifts. Just print, frame, and gift.

Calendars make great gifts. This is just one of many calendars available inside the Studio.
Print, then fill in birthdays and special dates. Add a set of pens or colored pencils for a special, yet inexpensive gift for coworkers, teens, college students, moms, aunts, best friends and more.

Use these printables to make a beautiful Bible Study journal. Add cute stickers and a colorful pen set for a great gift for truth-seeking girls and women.

Print out these cute retro-colored Bible tabs to mark books of the Bible or your favorite Scriptures. You might even do some Bible journaling inside the Bible before gifting it. These tabs would match well with THESE beautiful coral and teal colored Bibles.
Members of Fruitful Creativity Studio also get access to the printable versions of all my books! Some books also have a digital version for use on an iPad or tablet. These make great gifts for girls and women ages 8 and up – especially the coloring books, when paired with a set of colored pencils. Or you can just print out a couple of pages to include with other gifts or set them out for anyone to color during holiday gatherings. You can also use the coloring pages for wrapping small gifts.
