Do you ever think to yourself, “I will never measure up”?
Do you ever feel like you will never be good enough? or perfect enough? Or as smart, or pretty, or organized or successful as ___________________ (some other woman)?
Well, I have GOOD NEWS for you!
But first the BAD NEWS… You are right… You will never measure up. You will never be good enough. I will never measure up either.
BUT… We don’t have to…
And that’s the GOOD NEWS!
Romans 3:10 says:
10 As the Scriptures say, “No one is righteous— not even one.”
But then it goes on to say (in vs. 21):
But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago.
HERE IS THE WAY (vs. 22):
We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ.
And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.
We can never be good enough, BUT God declares us righteous (vs. 24) when we place our faith in Jesus. Think about that a minute…
You ARE righteous!
It is so easy to forget this truth, with all the expectations from our spouses, and our children, and our parents, and our bosses, and ourselves… and Pinterest… comparing ourselves with our neighbors, friends, relatives, co-workers, social media personalites, etc.
Usually, when I am feeling like I will never measure up…
It is because I am comparing myself to someone else, instead of remembering who I am in Christ.
So, I made a smartphone wallpaper/lockscreen to help me remember and declare this truth.
And I thought I would share it with you, to encourage you and help you remember who you are in Christ. Simply fill in the form below to download it right now.

Now, every time you open your phone and look at this Scripture art, pray this #PowerPrayer with me…
Father God, thank you that because I have placed my faith in Jesus, that I am made right with YOU.
You could also print this out and put it on your bathroom mirror, in your day planner, in your diaper bag, or somewhere else that you will see it several times throughout yout day. (Hint: I love to use washi tape to hang Scriptures on my wall or mirror because it comes in such fun colors and also because it is removable and won’t ruin your wall.)
Here are some more Scriptures you can meditate on that also convey this truth:
Romans 3:23-25
23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.24 Yet God freely and graciously declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.25 For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood.
1 Corinthians 6:11
11 Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
2 Corinthians 5:21
For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
Philippians 3:9
I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith.
So now, whenever that lying devil tries to tell me that I don’t measure up or that I will never be good enough, first of all, I quit comparing myself to other women. Then, I use my Sword of the Spirit (which is the Word of God) to remind him (and me) that I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
Ladies, whether we like it or not, we are in a battle. Let’s pick up our swords and fight the good fight of faith (instead of fighting each other.) The victory is already ours!
Joyfully,
