Life is full of twists and turns, ups and downs, highs and lows, and can include some really difficult situations… So it often feels hard to know how to choose joy everyday.
Here are a few tips that are helping me learn how to choose joy everyday.
Psalm 100 instructs us to…
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and enter his courts with praise.” So thanking and praising God is one way that we can enter into his presence.
Psalm 16:11 says: “In His Presence is fullness of joy.”
And in Matthew 28:20, Jesus says, “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Therefore, my reasoning is that if I become more aware of God’s presence, (because He is already always with me), I will find more joy.
Furthermore, according to John 1:1, Jesus is the living Word of God. So meditating on the Word of God helps me to become more aware of His Presence.
That is why I created the “Joy in His Presence” Bible Reading Plan.
It is my hope that it will also help you learn how to choose joy everyday.
This is the Bible reading plan we will follow for the May Delight in the Word Challenge.*
