Just because you do an easy Bible journaling page doesn’t mean it can’t have a big impact on your heart and mind.

I am really enjoying the Delight in the Word challenge this month, as we are focusing on the promises of God. I am coming across so many Scriptures about God’s promises just during my regular Bible reading, listening to church sermons, etc., without even intentionally looking for them.

Hebrews 10:23 is one of those verses.

Last Sunday my friend, Nicole, was the guest speaker at our church. She was talking about getting your hopes up. She actually referenced Hebrews 10:35-38, but when I opened up my Inspire Praise Bible to read it, the illustration in the side bar just jumped out at me.

So that night I did a very easy Bible journaling page as I meditated on Hebrews 10:23, which says:

Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.

Easy Bible journaling page

I did not use any fancy technique or any fancy tools. I simply colored in the illustration and words using Crayola Twistables colored pencils, using the colors of the rainbow to signify God’s promises.

Then, all week long, I saw the image of this page in my mind, and remembered these words.

That is one reason I really love Bible journaling and other creative techniques. They really help me to remember what I read and “hide” God’s Word in my heart.

And it is really helping me to not waiver in my hope, but to continually have a confident expectation of good. Nicole explained that is really what HOPE means – to have a confident expection of good! And the reason we can always have a confident expectation of good is because God can be trusted to keep his promise. It is very simple. We try to complicate things, but it really is quite simple.

Let’s keep it simple, ladies! And do more easy Bible journaling pages. ?
