I was thrilled with the selection I received from them. It was hard to decide which one to start on first.
I was glad for the chance to get to try out my new Faber-Castel watercolor pencils that I bought recently. I bought a set of all pinks and purple shades because my old set of Prismacolor watercolors did not have any pinks or purples, which are my favorite colors.
But I wouldn’t mind having this set: Faber-Castell Art GRIP Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils, tin of 24
I wrote the number of each pencil down on a scratch paper to test out the colors.
I also used just some regular Watercolors
And I used a Koi Water Brushwith both the watercolors and the watercolor pencils. I like it better than a regular paintbrush because the tip is very fine and it makes it easier to paint in tiny details.
Here is a close-up of the Pray more – Worry less card.
After I finished painting it, I went over some of the black lines with a fine-tip black pen.
I decided to use this card to decorate the cover of my Prayer Journal. I taped in on using double-sided adhesive tape. And then added some washi tape on top, mainly for decoration.
And I used the “blessings” card to decorate a moleskin journal for me to write down my answered prayers and my gratitude for all my blessings.
This was so much fun and I am very pleased with how my two prayer journals turned out.
Thanks again to ADORNit for supplying me with these adorable ArtPlay paintables! They are doing a giveaway EVERY day this month, so be sure to follow them on Instagram (@adornit) to get all the details.
Here is the watercolor set that I used. The set is quite inexpensive and has a nice range of very rich, bright colors.
